About Natures Rhythm Yoga
In life everything pulses, from the highest to lowest frequency everything is in motion. In each cycle there is a movement from empty to full, start to stop, positive to negative, from action to rest. Awareness of these cycles opens the doorway to mastering the art of surrender, letting go of the need to have control, we can learn to tune into these cycles and work with them rather than against them.
Classes taught by Andrea follow universal energy and planetary movement. My aim is to assist you to honour your body and heart wisdom, this will help you to live a conscious, empowered, authentic life within the totality of a unified existence.
Natures rhythm Yoga has four dynamic sequences that are reflective of the Moon's four main phases, these are the new, waxing, full and waning phases, and the static (held) postures are complimentary to the elements that are the main focus at that time during the 28-day cycle. You will be tuning in with the moon cycle and that is precisely the point…
Natures Rhythm Yoga is an intuitive style that's based on awareness of our interconnectedness through universal, planetary movement & sacred sound. The practice incorporates the sacred sounds of the solfeggio frequencies to assist in unifying the elements that make up our whole being, i.e the elements of earth, water, fire, air, ether and love that together can help transmute energetic blocks on our journey of awakening, for the purpose of remembrance and to help us reconnect to the timeless place where our true self resides.
Research shows that mainstream music, that we are subjected to daily, may well be unharmonious for us and this actually creates dissonance in the human body and the surrounding energy field, “they literally disconnect us from our natural resonance. Sacred sound frequencies can quickly bring you back in tune with your true nature.
So... Has it been a deliberate act to bombard us with dissonance via mainstream music? I will let you decide on that one. Either way, we have plenty of healthy choices to keep our energy and our physical bodies clear available to us now… We have to access these wholistic alternatives and can decide what we choose to listen to, the more aware we are of our choices, based on our gut level feeling and the gage of our emotions, the easier it becomes. When you explore a more natural organic way, you will discover what feels good… It is always better to go with your feelings about something rather than to 'try' and ”think too much about it” and that is another thing listening to sacred sounds can help with… The solfeggio frequencies help get us out of our mind to bring our focused attention onto our body so we can literally feel more in tune with ourself.
The breathing techniques and bija mantra used in the sessions act as a means to uplift and enhance our energy levels and therefore our enjoyment of life. They assist in helping us find harmony and balance These are very simple yet effective practices. For instance, Nadi shodana, the balancing breath, for the Heart - Air element - Full moon class
Benefits of practice
Science tells us that we are made up of 70% water and because of this fact; it is vital for our health to keep the water and fire elements functioning optimally within our body…. This is taken into consideration when working at a deeper core level, in a way that can move us beyond any pre-conceived limitations.
Flowing with nature’s rhythm – The cycles of the seasons, day and night, the moon, the breath, the heartbeat, the universal cycle (we are approaching the end of a 26,000 year universal cycle) – All these cycles teach us that the primary principle of life is to flow in acceptance of both light and dark, high and low, to be with it and feel it all, fully engaging with all spectrums of life enables us to have a deeper understanding of our true nature and that we have nothing to fear when we are in the flow and fully present and being the witness of our life’s experience.
In fact it is the resisting of the flow of nature and her cycles that are the main causes of pain and discomfort. Our ancestors based religion around the moon calendar and there is huge potential in connecting with the moon, particularly with the focus around the New and Full moon period. The 3 days either side of Full Moon and New Moon are times of High Power.

The Natures Rhythm Yoga Class Contents
Natures Rhythm yoga takes into account and includes aspects such as;
◦ The Moons position for that day.
◦ Relaxation and Attuning - with the reconnecting resonance of the sacred sound frequencies - the solfeggio
◦ Gentle limbering with emphasis on freeing the spine.
◦ Static structured and dynamic flowing, often improvised movement.
◦ Soft or dynamic back bends (depending on levels of experience)
◦ Forward bends & twists to counterpose
◦ The fine tuning of the chakras using seed sounds, mudras and mantra.
Also; Inversions - Pranayama - Meditation - Sacred silence meditation and the practise of Yoga Nidra (deep inner conscious relaxation) that has been devised to bring into fruition the fullest expression of our potential.
